Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 150–200g white fish fillet (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic butter
  • 2–3 tbsp cream cheese or mayo
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp lemon zest
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or dill
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

👨‍🍳 Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Prepare the fish
    Season fish with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Grill or pan-sear until golden and flaky.
  2. Make the creamy spread
    Mix cream cheese (or mayo), lemon juice, zest, and herbs in a small bowl.
  3. Toast the sourdough
    Lightly butter sourdough slices and toast until crisp and golden.
  4. Assemble the melt
    Spread creamy lemon-herb sauce on bread. Add cooked fish on top.
  5. Add cheese & melt
    Sprinkle mozzarella generously over fish. Grill or bake for 3–5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  6. Finish & serve
    Garnish with fresh parsley and a light squeeze of lemon.
