Classic Sourdough Garlic Bread (Crispy & Buttery)

Ingredients:

  • 1 sourdough loaf (day-old works best)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 5–6 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup mozzarella or parmesan (optional, for cheesy version)

👩‍🍳 Step-by-Step Recipe:

1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

2. Prepare Garlic Butter
In a bowl, mix:

  • Soft butter
  • Minced garlic
  • Parsley
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper

Stir until smooth and aromatic.

3. Slice the Bread
Cut the sourdough loaf into thick slices, but don’t cut all the way through if you want a pull-apart style.

4. Spread the Butter
Generously spread garlic butter between slices and on top of the loaf. Make sure every crack is filled.

5. Add Cheese (Optional)
Sprinkle mozzarella or parmesan between slices for extra richness.

6. Wrap & Bake
Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 10–12 minutes.

7. Crisp It Up
Open the foil and bake for another 5–7 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.

8. Serve Hot
Garnish with extra parsley and serve immediately while buttery and warm.
