🧂 Ingredients

Chicken Marinade:

  • 400 g (14 oz) chicken fillet, diced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • A few sprigs dill, chopped
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Black pepper, to taste

Vegetables & Potatoes:

  • 3–4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced into rounds
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • Salt and additional black pepper, to taste
  • A few stalks green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Egg & Cheese Mixture:

  • 4 eggs
  • 120 ml (½ cup) milk
  • 200 g (7 oz) cheese, grated (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Marinate the Chicken

  1. Dice chicken fillets into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, curry powder, dill, parsley, and black pepper.
  3. Toss chicken in the marinade, cover, and let rest 15–20 minutes.

2️⃣ Prepare the Vegetables & Potatoes

  • Slice potatoes into thin rounds.
  • Dice onion, celery, and bell pepper. Set aside for layering.

3️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Grease a medium-sized baking dish with a drizzle of oil or a little butter.

4️⃣ Layer the Bake

  1. Arrange half of the potato slices on the bottom of the dish. Season lightly.
  2. Spread onion, celery, and bell pepper evenly over the potatoes.
  3. Add the marinated chicken on top.
  4. Layer the remaining potato slices over the chicken and vegetables.

5️⃣ Add Egg Mixture & Cheese

  1. In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Pour mixture evenly over the layered dish, letting it seep through the potatoes and chicken.
  3. Sprinkle grated cheese generously over the top.
